کالیگرافی

Calligraphy

These are Mitra's calligraphy pieces: layered Persian script, called siah-mashq, where the letters build up into pattern and colour. Every one is her own original work.

Paintings

Mitra's paintings in oil and acrylic: portraits, landscapes, city scenes, and Sufi dancers. Many of these are practice pieces she painted to learn and improve, often working from other artists' paintings. They're here to show her range, not as original works or for sale.

About Mitra

Mitra is an Iranian artist who loves to paint, do Persian calligraphy, and play the setar in her free time. Calligraphy is her favourite, and those pieces are all her own.

Her paintings are mostly for practice. She often works from other artists' paintings to learn new techniques and try out different styles, so this site is really about showing what she can do, not selling work or claiming the paintings as her own designs.

She also has a small Etsy shop, with more being added over time.
